It doesn't work "on" the PDA, you control it via a Web page, so as long as
you use a device with a browser, you can control the SB. Even from a
smartphone :-)

No, you're talking about controlling the *Squeezebox*.

I'm asking about *SoftSqueeze*, the program that is a software
implementation of Squeezebox.

Softsqueeze will not currently run on a PDA of any description
(as far as I know).

You can use a web browser to the slim server to control what you
are listening to, and you can connect to an MP3 stream on the
server using software on the PDA which supports streaming MP3
if you want to listen on the PDA itself.

I think that this is *usually* add in software, not players
which are free with the PDA, but I'm not an expert on this.

You can use this to control any player connected to the server,
either hardware or software.
