Considering how many people here have trouble getting FLAC to work reliably
over their home network I don't think it's na´ve to expect DVD streaming to
cause people even more problems.

"Additionally streaming full quality DVD over a network is going to be hit
or miss at best, considering the large bitrate needed. "

Even HDTV is 19.2 Mbs which is 20% of a 100 Mbs network. DVD is considerably
less than that. I routinely do both with no problems.

If by this you mean that many people have flaky home networks then I
would agree with you.

Otherwise I don't think there's any link between the two problems.

What's your definition of a flaky home network?
