LMS 7.7 is about to be released, and (probably *not* coincidentally) the long-awaited update of Google TV is due out soon for the Revue (announced yesterday):

With these major updates about to appear, doesn't it seem odd that Logitech has the Revue marked "Out of Stock" on its website?

Will we be seeing the Revue 2 soon?

I'm in the UK so can't get hold of a Revue here - so I took a look at the US Logitech site, went through a dummy purchase run and found 2 different Revues on offer!

There were no details about either and the part numbers were exactly the same apart from the last two digits - one ended in ..001, the other in ...012!

The one ending in 012 was out of stock and I would guess it hasn't yet been in stock. A Review 2 maybe?

No specifics given other than some time in 2012 from what I've read.

Is Logitech perhaps holding orders on the current Revue so they can install the new Google software before shipping?

For anyone who can't wait for Google TV in the UK these Android TV boxes might fill the gap:

I have a question on the Revue, now that SBS 7.7 is out.
Does any body know how these compare to SB devices for playing music? Do they have the same or similar built in DAC's etc? I ask because they are being sold for $99 and I could attach one to my the home theater, which is in the one room that lacks a squeezebox.

I think the Revue business has been reviewed and is now over.

I don't know about dacs, but I do know you can't use it as a aqueezebox. It has an app for Pandora and you can play mp3 or wav files via dlna. What would have been nice was a Squeezebox app for the revue once honeycomb was released for the revue (which will add the app marketplace). Given today's announcement regarding the revue, I doubt that will happen now.
