We're getting close to shutting the door on 5.2, but we need to make
sure that we've got everything we need for a complete, stable release.
The goal of 5.2 is to get back to an acceptable level of stability after
several dot releases with feature improvements. In the interest of
reaching the 5.2 milestone as soon as possible, I've done a few things:

* Put the project into Yellow Flag mode. Until we get out 5.2, all
changes should be run by either Dean or myself. If you'd like to
get in anything other than a 5.2 blocker, we may ask you to hold
off. If there are enough such changes being backed up, we may
branch the tree to allow mainline development to continue.
* Switched on the "Target Milestone" field in Bugzilla
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/). Any bug that is required for 5.2
should be marked with a Target Milestone of 5.2.
* Started going through all open bugs, marking those that are
required for 5.2. The query for the 5.2 blocker list is:
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/buglist.cgi?short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&target_milestone=5.2&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED

To help get the blocker list to reflect reality, I'd encourage you to do
the following:

* If you currently own a 5.2 blocker bug and don't believe it should
be on the list, let me know.
* If you believe a bug should be fixed for 5.2, nominate it by
posting to this list. Keep the goal of the release in mind -
feature enhancements probably won't be considered, gotchas or
crashes that many people will run into probably will.
* If you know of a bug that isn't yet in Bugzilla, please create a
new bug report.
* If you're feeling particularly masochistic, triage the existing
bugs in Bugzilla. If there's anything that can be resolved, please
do so.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Let's get this
release out!

Cheers,
--Vidur

Bug 346 created:
Latest revision to iTunes.pm (1.48) makes slimserver to ignore all
non-file entries from the iTunes
database, e.g. mp3 streams.

Promoted to be a 5.2 blocker. Here's a patch:

Index: server/Slim/Music/iTunes.pm

RCS file: /home/cvs/cvsroot/slim/server/Slim/Music/iTunes.pm,v
retrieving revision 1.48
diff -r1.48 iTunes.pm

Bug #350 created. I apologize if this is a feature I'm not aware of and
not a bug, I tried the search function in BUG Zilla.

I believe it has been fixed and is available in the latest nightly build
(http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/). Please reopen
the bug if you have a reproducible case that isn't addressed by the
latest build.

Thanks,
