correct, total remot has a little nubby IR transmitter that plugs into
your headphone jack. You don't need total remote to justr stream music
to your pocketPC, Total remote is a programmable remote control
emulator, that you can use to control most all of your IR appliances.

If you run Total Remote, you'll just have to swap your headphones and
the little nubby....

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot. One question though - when
total remote says it uses you PPC audio hardware, I assume that means
the headphone jack, am I wrong?
