View Full Version : Code(0xnnnnnnn) in menus

2004-10-06, 12:13
Hi,

Running latest slimserver from CVS.

I'm seeing a lot of menu items displaying on my SBG as Code(0xnnnnnnn) (where n
is an hex digit).

This doesn't show up in softsqueeze.

Vidur recently merged the Radio branch back into the main trunk. The code
references are likely due to plugins in your top level menu. The code
reference is there to allow language prefs to change the name of the plugin,
but I'm guessing that ones that are alreayd there must not work right.

the eventual official release with Radio included is likely going to revert to a
new default menu-list which would avoid this problem. in the meantime, try
removing the plugins from top level and re-adding. That, or make sure you are
set to use English, then switch back..or switch to somethig other than English
and switch back. Let me know which thigns works. I'm guessing a bit becuase
I've only ever seen it once and was unable to reproduce. In my case, I had a
non-existent language chosen due to a stray prefs file. My day-to-day serer
has a cusomt language (for candian spellings), but the radio branch for test
was clean cvs and didn't like the non-existent language. I have not seen it
any other time.

of course, its possible something got crossed when merging, in which case I may
see it once Ihave access to cvs.
