More details...
I am running a linksys 802.11b router (model BEFW11S4), but configured as an
access point (DHCP and routing is done by a netgear wireless router model
WGR614). Other wireless devices are connected to the A/P and I am having no
problems with those connections. I am using 128 bit WEP (and have quadruple
checked the password on the squeezebox, so I don't think that's it).

The Squeezebox is configured to have a fixed IP and is running firmware version

Signal strength is not an issue as I have tried the squeezebox in locations
where another device is currently working, and 5 feet away from the AP (with
only air in-between).

The ssid is relatively long (18 characters), but has no odd characters.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Subject: [slim] Wireless with WEP and no SSID b-cast

I just got the wireless box, and while I can get it to work through the ethernet
port, I can't connect to my wireless (which is configured not to broadcast the
SSID and 128bit WEP). Does anyone have any thoughts? I have tested the box's
wireless by trying to connect to a non-encrypted network w/SSID broadcast, and
that works fine.
