With music recorded at so many different levels, I've found it very beneficial to use ReplayGain tags to keep volume at a reasonably consistent level. I couldn't find any user-friendly tools to tag my audio files on the mac, so I wrote my own.

ReplayGain Scan is an easy way to tag your FLAC, MP3 and AAC albums with ReplayGain information, for volume-adjusted playback on your Squeezebox player or other supported players.

Really... you couldn't find ANYTHING? I've been using iVolume http://www.mani.de/en/ivolume/index.html which has been available since 2008. It really has worked great for all of my stuff, except FLAC files, so yours could be very welcomed!

Take a look at that they're doing and see what you think...
