View Full Version : Slight pause between tracks

I was going to ask a similar question today regarding WAV's, this was
bugging me with compilation albums that are mixed at the track crossover so
I re-ripped using EAC as a WAV image thinking that as it's a one big WAV
there would be no gaps but it still pauses briefly between when playing
using the Cue sheet...which everyone notices...the result is the cd's come
out again at parties which I am trying to hard to avoid!!

Is this to be expected and will ripping as FLAC fix this too or are there
any suggestions on how best to rip these kinds of compilation albums so the
transition is seamless.

Thanks...Andy

MP3 is not gapless, if you desire gapless you should use FLAC

Greetings again
Having just ripped a compilation CD to MP3 and playing back via the
Squeezebox I have noticed a very slight "gap" between tracks that is not
there on the CD. Is there a way to alter this gap to become non-existent or
is it just a technical caveat of streaming??
