Roger that. I have an email into them, but figured I would give the forum a
shot. Thanks for the leads though. Much appreciated.

You may want to contact SlimDevices support by phone or
support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com
if you want a step by step walkthrough.

give it a try with squeezebox.version

its just a text file, so open it with notepad or wordpad.
likely it will be located in:
c:\program files\slimserver\server\firmware
the line you will most likely need to add is:
38 29

then save it, restart the server.
press and holl brightness to do the firmware update.

then undo your changes and restart the server
if 29 was the wrong firmware, it will ask you to upgrade again
press and hold again and you should be good to go with 5.2.1

however, it would also be useful to actually get to the source of the problem
you have had with 5.3.0, so that it can be possible to avoid having this happen
to other users. Can you explain the exact links you were clicking that go you
the error? if, after the error, you refresh the page, does it still block you?
