I just installed my first Logitech Squeezebox Touch and I'm having second thoughts about which computer I should use as the server. If I install the server software on the new computer and shut down the old server, are there any additional steps needed to get the player work with the new server?

No, just power cycle your Touch and you should be OK.

You can also run two servers at the same time, switching from one to the other using the Touch's menu. I think it's under "Advanced settings". The option is called "Choose library" or "Choose server" or something like that.

Your Touch should find all instances of Squeezebox server running on your network - it's under My Music > Switch Library - see below.

With my (NOT Touch) players, it works better to switch the players from the old server to the new server while the old server is turned-on. In short, don't uninstall SBS on the old server until you change the players to the new server.

It should work either way, so don't worry about it. If you shut down the old server before switching servers on the Touch then when you enter My Music it will search for the old server, time out after about 10 seconds, and give you a choice to change servers.

I don't think you'll get an opportunity to switch via the 'Switch Library' menu item that kidstypike shows above unless you have both servers running at same time, as pski advises.

I find the Android App, Squeeze Commander to be the easiest way to switch players from one server to another.
