I use Waver (www.waver-converter.com). It'll run you $29.95, but it's
hassle free and works as advertised. It's coded for hyperthreading, so
if you have one of the faster P4 proceesors with Hyperthreading
capability, it moves right along. And no DRM-crap added.

When you first run Waver, choose Edit > Preferences to switch the
language to that of you choice.

Does anyone know of a good converter that will convert all of my WAVs to

MP3s? I would like to be able to select my music directory and have it
convert all the WAVs in all of the subdirectories to MP3s then delete
the
WAVs. If that's too much to ask for I was looking for something free
because I will only have to do this once.

I checked the archives and couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

I use Foobar 2000 (www.foobar2000.org). Originally, I thought it was
overkill for my purpose. But after searching and trying may different
utilities, I settled on Foobar for its flexability. Flexability comes
at a cost though. It can be alittle challenging to configure. One of
the things I like best about it is that it will transcode from FLAC to
MP3 (via LAME) on the fly (without writing WAV files in between). Let
me know if you need any pointers for getting started with it.
