I'm using Win 2000 sp4. I notice that the elapsed time does not index on
the Squeezebox. The settings in the server "Bit stream" show the following

Note: You do not appear to have LAME installed. SlimServer will need the
LAME MP3 encoder installed on your system to do conversion to MP3. You can
find out more about LAME here.)

I don't know what LAME is or if I need it.

still no sound...

Firewall turned on now on your PC? What OS are you using? Linux installs
Ipchains by default, Windows might or might not install the built in XP
firewall depending on which service pack you have loaded.

I upgraded my pc. My squeezebox and slim server indicate that the device is
playing but I don't hear anything. What am I doing wrong?
