I have an SB3 without wireless capabiity.

I see online that the Tp-Link TL-WN560G Mini PCI Wireless Card will work in the SB3 - It's available thru Amazon for $12.

Is the antenna and all that is needed to make it wireless already in the non-wireless model of the SB3?

In other words, it it an open the unit, insert the card, reattach the cover and play wirelessly type of upgrade ?

Thanks !

I believe that it is not possible to make it wireless as the SB PCBs are different between the two versions

I've opened my wired SB3 and it has the slot for a wireless card. I believe the card you have linked is the correct one, but haven't actually tried it for myself.

Thanks ...

The wireless card is $12, so it's worth a try.

Hi,

I added a wifi card (similar to the one you referenced) to my wired-only SB3.

I needed to add an antenna; actually two (there are two connectors).

I found "2X Laptop WIFI Wireless Mini PCI PCI-E Internal Antenna" for $1.64 shipped on EBay.

Works great for me.

Good luck!

I stand corrected :)

Would this then allow you to use an n wireless card? Not that n wireless is necessary for most SB3 applications (except perhaps wireless bridging, depending on what is being bridged).

I added a wireless card to an SB2 I bought used. I had to buy antennas as well.

You have to use the card mentioned, support for this card is what is written into the firm(?)ware of the sb3 - you can't just pick any old card, including an "n" card.
