View Full Version : Wimp app not working in Denmark

I have an Wimp account here in Denmark.
When i go to mysqueezebox.com there is an Wimp app ad to the right, but when I click it there is not any app available...
If I switch my country setting to Norway I can install the app, but the my account info are foo - obviously due to country restrictions.
So - come on. Please open the app for use in Denmark!!!!

Gack - doesent give any solution, only posts by even more fustrated users...

And yes - I have asked Wimp (ISP Telenor) about it. However, I'm pretty sure to get the answer: 'Ask Logitech to fix it'...

It's really only a marketing or biz dev question. WiMP is running great in
Norway already. The different logo color shouldn't break it for DK ;-).

Good point. Let's hope they will fix it soon. Meanwhile it probably would be good, if the Wimp ad (see attachment) on http://mysqueezebox.com/index/Home would be removed.

Just got mail from Telenor, and I was wrong - they don't blame Logitech. My bad. But this is what they say:

"The Danish app is not yet approved, but if the Norwegian is approved, I believe there is long before the Danish addition, this was certainly the case with the iPhone."

I keep my fingers crossed!

Oops, I'll get that fixed. WiMP is blue in Denmark by the way. :)

Cool! However, some bugs at the moment:
1) The app doesn't recognize my account... (and yes, I've double checked - I do use the right username and password, and not using my account on other devices/apps)
2) Under requirement, the text reads that "The A valid WiMP subscription, get a 60 day free WiMP account on wimp.dk/sbox" (see attachment). But in Denmark the free account is only for 30 days - and moreover, the link is wrong it directs to wimp.no/sbox instead of wimp.dk/sbox.

Maybe the app is not really working in Denmark anyway? It seems that the country restrictions and references is a bit messy at the moment...

Is your mysb.com country set to DK? Are you entering your phone number
including the country code?

Achr :) No - I didn't include the country code. Not too obvious that I needed, since I have indicated my country code as Denmark in my account settings. Maybe a little hint on the need for adding country code (without '+' or '00' by the way) would be a good idea?
But- now it works - cool! Thanks a lot!

Great, thanks! We'll see how we can improve this. We might indeed add the
country code based on the country selected if needed.
