Ripping my first concert DVD right now. Do all of my Squeezeboxen support 48k / 16 bit? Or do I need to downsample to 44.1k?

And if the players support it, is it reasonable to expect the DAC in my Denon AVR-990 can stomach a 48k digital stream via coax?

48 kHz should be fine on your SBs, and on the AVR since it's standard for DVD movies.

48k was also used by DAT in the dark ages, if you can find anything that does not support 48k run it over with a truck :) You be fine as this have been part of the standard forever, any old tv box also outputs 48k.

And as mentioned many mpeg DD & DTS movie soundtracks.
