I've been getting slimserver crashes and got a chance to try and to dig
down and find the problem. I looked at the slimserver.log and the
message that appears at the time of the crash is:

Can't locate object method "maxTextSize" via package
"Slim::Player::HTTP" at /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Web/Setup.pm at line
126."

I am running the latest nightly (trired the latest stable release as
well) on Mandrake 10.0 (via RPM). I was streaming to my PC at the time
and worked for long time until I tried to do something via the web
interface. slimserver has default permissions (given by the RPM install
read & write) to the file as it does the rest of the directory.
Setup.pm exists at that location and maxTextSize is at line 26 of that
..pm file. Anyone help point me in the right direction? Thanks.

This is caused ecause you have conneted with a client such as itunes or winamp,
which doesnt have a maxTextSize to reference. However, this should be no
problem by tomorrow's build as this is removed as part of the reoganisation of
the settings.

Post here if any other problems like this still remain tomorrow.
