Hi there

Can you use the duet type controller with a SB Classic?

Or 3rd party devices e.g. Android or Iphone apps

Just one more, does the classic have coax digital out

Thanks in advance

I think I may already have the answer for this. No as the SB3 is wired only i.e. not Wifi

Yes. (You will need a wireless network of course.)

Yes. 3rd party apps/SBController talk to the server not the SB.

The SB3 came as both wired and wifi units,

But it's irrelevant as the SBController would talk to the server not the SB3, So you need a wireless network for the SBController.

OK Making sense now!

Yes you can, as the controller uses the wireless network to the server on your PC and then drives the SB3 over the wired network.

Is that correct?

Cheers

yes it always the server that controlls the player :) even with the ir remote (the commands go to the server the server do what you ask)

So a controller can controll all squeezebox models and the software players to.

and so can the phone applications
