Thanks for your answer.
Just to clearify if I understand you right.

" finding it hard to lock onto the signal of the".
Will this cause the music to having problems to start immediately - a delay
for 1 second or less or more?

"device is not performing well this can vary"
Is it possible to hear this difference for ex not se clear sound?
Regards

Tore

Apogee Big Ben (http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/bigben.php) is a
product that
reduce jitter in digital signals. In order to do this it takes the digital
signal from
the Squeezebox and "locks" onto it, in a similar fashion that a DAC must do.
Ken was
stating that the Apogee Big Ben was finding it hard to lock onto the signal
of the
Squeeze box.

Nominal sample rate of CD audio is 44.1kHz. If the clock that controls the
digital
device is not performing well this can vary. Ken is saying that the Apogee
Big Ben
starts trying to lock onto the signal at 43.90kHz and increases step by step
to
44.10kHz.

This is what I understood from Ken's statements.
