I am trying to find a way to listen to my squeezecenter on my upstairs win PC. I have the squeezeserver7.51 running on a win server in my basement. I have two players synced for my stereos. I just want to play the music in the bedroom through my 2nd pc speakers. Is there anyway to connect to the synced stream and play through my WMP12 or firefox, IE, or plugin?. I mostly play FLAC files and Rhapsody. I do not care about controlling the music (that can be done though squeezebox web interface) I just want to hear the music upstairs.
Thanks

http://<yourserverIP>:9000/stream.mp3 should work, at least that is how I stream using iTunes for a player. Should work the same for Winamp, WMP etc.

SqueezePlay will let you play the stream plus allow you to control the squeezebox server with an interface similar to a SqueezeBox. Apparently sync may or may not work.

find your flavor of squeezeplay at the bottom of this page:

Yep, I think SqueezePlay is the best choice for you, since you play FLACs. It makes your PC act like just another SqueezeOS based Squeezebox.

You can sync it to your existing players, but don't expect perfect sync. For that you need a hardware Squeezebox. (There are good technical reasons for this, but I suppose it also makes sense economically for Logitech.)

Thanks everyone for your help!
I installed squeezeplay and all seems well.

I did try the link through my WMP12 using: http://<yourserverIP>:9000/stream.mp3
this opened the media player, and played, but no sound, I thought due to CODEC issues, however I do get FLAC files to play on my PC locally through WMP12. So, I tried other extensions but no luck. I have not tried to sync squeezeplay yet with the controller, so I am cautiously optimistic.
