View Full Version : Squeezebox not recognising wireless network when I use aswitch...

Hi all

I've got my Squeeze box working fine over my wireless network via a a
netgear access point in my lounge (after I finally realised that I had
to set the access point up in "shared key" mode).

However when I put a switch in between my PC and the access point
every time I turn on my PC the squeezebox doesn't recognise it and I
have to go through the setup procedure again each time.

I'm using a MRi Nway 8 port switch.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks

Robin

Could it be that your switch is taking a long time to auto-sense the
speed? Have you tried waiting a bit before you turn on the SB?

Niek.

You might try simply pressing and holding the power button and
waiting. On my system, if my computer sleeps for any length of time
the Squeezebox says "lost contact with server". Then when I press and
hold the power it says at first :press right arrow to begin setup"
but if I don't bother to press any buttons it automatically goes
through the setup procedure without my doing anything further and
finally connects.

I've been having all sorts of connect problems. I've just changed my AP to
shared key mode the problems seem to have gone away!
