View Full Version : Slimserver crashes - requires a restart

I have a similar problem.

The server hangs for 30 seconds, then the Slim starts playing right where it
left off.
This only happens between songs....

I have SP2, but I use Zone Alarm (have had this for years, it never caused a
problem w/ Slim until recently...)

Did you happen to install Windows XP Service Pack 2?

That can cause all kinds of ugly issues where the SlimServer software
can't communicate with itself. We'll be updating the installer to
configure this for you, but in the mean time, you can adjust the
firewall settings. Here are some instructions:
