No crashes yet... no garbled text... two things I experienced before.

It also seems to resolve the issue I was having with my receiver (not
locking on to the digital signal right away).


Why does it say "5.3.0b1" under server settings in the web interface? (Says
firmware 35 on the player).

Also, my graphic display SB said the update failed on the first try... then
I did it again and it worked.

the server settings shows the version number for SlimServer.
the player is reporting the firware version.
The two are distinct.

Known issue (char display only). This is just cosmetic, and does not
indicate a problem with the upgrade.
