once we have a relational back-end going.

Speaking of which, I had the thought that with the new database,
albums should merely be a special case of playlist. This would make
a lot of sense when a music library contains compilations as well as
original albums; for example, I recently bought Warren Zevon's
"Excitable Boy", because I wanted a couple of songs that aren't on
his "Genius" compilation. Since it would be pointless to have two
identical copies of a song just so that both albums are complete, it
would be better to have a pool of distinct tracks, with the "album"
simply pointing to the appropriate ones.

I know this could be kluged up with the current playlist capability,
but then you'd need to remember whether to look in albums or
playlists when searching.

It's also good for Americans who still find it odd when "Drive My
Car" leads off "Rubber Soul"!
