Sean,

Thanks, I have done this kind of work for years, so soldering a through-hole connector is not that onerous. It helps to have the right tools, like a rework station with static control.

Am I correct in assuming that having a LINK state up condition on the wired port keeps the wireless side from connecting? I really do not want to have the wireless running when it is driving my main stereo system.

If that condition (wireless active) is indeterminate, I may choose to use an 802.11b/ethernet bridge for those times that I want to relocate the unit. I was thinking of building a boom-box (as others have) that can run from rechargable batteries.

thanks.

Doug

Hi Doug,

Any intersil prism 2.5 or prism 3 card should work. Solder at your own
risk. :)

The firmware will detect the card, and you'll see a new menu during
setup where you can choose wired/wireless.
