Okay, I have a wired Squeezebox (about 6 months now) and I really like it a lot. This summer, I came to wish that I had wireless, so that I could just unplug it and haul it outside for listening in the yard or while crawling under the car. (boombox style)

I am very handy with a soldering iron, and PC card adapters are easily obtained. Does anyone know which wireless 802.11 cards are compatible with the SB firmware? I would happily do this myself rather than buy a new one and sell the old. Also, when it is wired up (LINK state is UP on the wired side) does it shut off the 802.11? I would prefer wired while in the house to avoid cordless phone and microwave oven conflicts.

thanks....

Hi Doug,

Any intersil prism 2.5 or prism 3 card should work. Solder at your own
risk. :)
