i think it's a nice idea ... not because it saves power, but because
(presumably) it would show the date / time display instead of endlessly
scrolling the last song (which i find irritating). i say presumably as i
can't get it to work right now.

the plugin appears under the slim plugins tab, and is checked, but i don't
see anywhere i can set the shut off time, and it doesn't switch my squeeze
off after 15 mins ... curious ...

running windows 2K and slim 5.2.1 ...

cheers.

h.

Subject: [slim] New Plugin: PowerSave

Hello Jason

Seems like a nice plugin, but it crashes my server as soon as I hit it with
the remote.
Running version 5.2.1 on XP pro

Another question: is power consumption such an issue that the energy-saver
plugin leads to considerable difference in power consuming? The SB does not
seem to be using too much power. But I may be wrong in this, of course

Thanks
Peter

this option is available with the standard server. There is a date/time
screensaver included with the server. look in player settings, additional to
set the screensaver time and the style.

Yes, but it is nice to have a 2-level screensaver system.

My setup:
The first screensaver kick in after 30 seconds and displays "Playing
now"
The second screensaver (PowerSave plugin) kicks in after an hour of
inactivity, and makes it display current time.
