Hi,

if i use the highest brightness level there are some pixels glowing slightly on the right of the display. is this a bug in the firmware or is the display damaged?

regards
Simon

This is actually something to be fixed server-side - I think it's
setting the brightness level on notch "too high" and that causes some
ghosting. If you want to send me a photo I will confirm that this is
what you're seeing.

BTW the new display actually supports 32 levels of brightness and these
are exposed to the server already - we're just not taking advantage of
them yet.

This will be fixed in tonight's build.

I've got a bunch of other stuff coming too.

You can see the glowing pixels at http://clown.dyndns.ws/display.jpg

so greyscale pics should be no problem, right?

Okay try the next nightly release - it should be gone then.

That's 32 levels of overall brightness, not per pixel.

I won't say grayscale is impossible, nor will I comment at all for fear
of another organized bugzilla mob voting backlash. :)
