I don't know.... It is on topic to some extent... and it certainly could be
considered helpful to the user community. Although I am not going to bid on
a slimp3 on the other side of the pond, I would jump on a reasonably priced
one here in the US... and I wouldn't mind hearing about it here.

Sure, and had he phrased it as such, it could have passed as a heads-up
from one member of the public to the others who have been checking eBay
UK for a while, to no avail, for Slim units. However, the tone of his
mail suggested he was directly out to make money out of the list by
pimping his auctions here. *shrug*
