Thanks.
I'm seeing a couple errors relating to Slimserver repeated. I don't know
what they mean though. Here they are:

First:
"Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be
able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Can't
call method "id" without a package or object reference at
/PerlApp/Slim/Utils/Prefs.pm line 474.

Is this helpful data?

Event Viewer:
start->settings->control panel->administrative tools->event viewer.
This will launch an application that tracks various system events and stores
certain details about the event. Most recent events appear at the top so
you
should be able to find either slim.exe or slimserver listed there.
Odds are the server has crashed on a particular file while scanning.

from the errors there, it looks like you are trying to do something before the
server has found any valid clients. Do you have a squeezebox or softsqueeze
connected to the server at the time? What are you trying to do aside from
letting it scan when it crashes?
