Thanks for your answer

When I set minium bitrate to 64 I still got 46 stations. I wonder if this
has to do with some kind of limitation for the total ot Shoutcast stations.

Another question I have I how I get stations like Live 365 and Icecast.
Perhaps you know how to solve this.

I have tried to get Live365 running. First I copied down below and did a
live365.pls in Windows Notes.

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=
<http://www.live365.com/play/171368?bitrate=128&VisitCount=1&SaneID=....>
http://www.live365.com/play/171368?bitrate=128&VisitCount=1&SaneID=....
&sessionid=...
Title1=Muppet Central
Length1=-1
Version=2

Then I saved this file in Playlist.
I clicked to play and the station Muppet Central showed up in SB but there
came no sound.

My question is: What did I do wrong?
Please advise

Another parameter is the bitrate. On these setting you can select a minimum
bitrate. This setting can exclude stations that are streaming at a bitrate
lower than you want to hear. Meaning, if you don't want low-quality stuff
make sure the bitrate is set high, and the low quality stations won't show
up on your lists. But is you want more stations, lower the minimum bitrate.

I increased the the number of streams from 200 to 2000. So I got 46 stations
instead. But there are much more which I don´t get and I don´t know how to
get them.

Look at the server page ->server settings -> additional server settings ->
plugins, there are lots of parameters you can modify that change what
shoutcast stations show up....

Hi

Sorry to intervene. I have just bougt a SB and having some problems with
Shoutcast.

In there site they have 7 pages with different jazz stations. In my SB I
only get 12 out of them.

I have tried to find how to include these other ones but have not succeeded.

I hope someone know why.

Thanks

Hi,

No reply, I try again, and hope someone have ideas to solve this problem:

I still can't play almost 90% of the Shoutcat stations, I get the error
below when I hit play, and the playlist on SqueezeBox / SoftSqueeze is
empty. I can play frequence3 and a few others.

From shoutcast.com I can play all of them in Winamp, and I noticed that the
url in winamp is different from the one saved by Slimserver, but I don't
know if this has any thing to do with the problem.

CLUB977 has this url on shoutcast.com:

http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=9949
<http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=9949&file=filename.
pls> &file=filename.pls

And it has this url in ShoutcastBrowser_Recently_Played:

http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=7619
<http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=7619&filename=playl
ist.pls> &filename=playlist.pls

I run on XP (SP1) and the 2004-08-12 version (latest without db and with a
running SoftSqueeze), but I did try to install the 2004-08-19 and it's the
same problem with ShoutCast (and SoftSqueeze still doesen't work).

BTW: Is it intended that this version does not install firmware version 33,
but instead version 32, or is it an error in squeezebox.version ?

Thanks,

Peter

I have this problem again, but the strange thing is that it did work for
some time yesterday. No problem contacting ShoutCast. The error in the log
when a station doesen't start is still:
