Hi all

Latest version of software, on Ubuntu 10.04. Clean install.

I have a weird issue with two compilation albums which have seemingly identical tag structures.

These are the tags for the two albums as viewed in Media Monkey:

http://www.jimwillsher.co.uk/Temp/Album2MediaMonkey.jpg

And this is how they show up in SC:

http://www.jimwillsher.co.uk/Temp/Album2SC.jpg

I cannot see how Album1 is being correctly tagged as a compilation but Album2 is not. Both albums are purely FLAC files.

Is there any guidance on the appropriate tags or MySql entries to diagniose this?

Many thanks,

Jim

your flac files on the incorrect album may have id3Vx tags as well as flac tags...
drill right down into one of the tracks in the web UI and "view tags" to see if you can see anything there...

Many thanks Phil. I wondered that too, so I'd stripped out the MP3 tags using MediaMonkey.

However I think I've sussed it - there's a non-standard FLAC tag called COMPILATION, which MediaMonkey doesn't show. I've found a utility which does show it and that's the difference between the albums. I've rescanned, and that seems to fix it.
