There has been some discussion of non-latin-1 songs - specificially
Hebrew but I think that the same topics apply
Not much has happened with it.

Subject: [slim] any Japanese users of slimserver/squeezebox on this
list?

Hi,

I'm thinking of encoding my wife's CD collection to mp3 and then serving

via slimserver to iTunes(iBook) and a squeezebox. The songs will be
stored on a Japanese language enabled linux server.

The only thing is that I am worried that the squeezebox or slimserver
will not support the character sets of the Japanese CDs she has.

Anyone here have experience of storing/playing non-latin-1 titled songs?

Many thanks,
Ian
