My alphabetical list of artists has another 'L' (in addition to the one I
learned about at school you'd expect to find between 'K' and 'M') after 'R'
for one artist - The La's.
Has the apostrophe broken the alphabetisation?

Neil,

Which version of SlimServer are you running?

Neil,

As a workaround, try going to

Server Settings -> Additional Settings -> Behavior,

and then remove "La" from the "Articles to ignore when sorting" (though
this might mess up other artists that start with La).

I suppose the right fix here is to only match an article ("the" etc) if
it's immediately followed by a true space character.

As you and Ben said, it was the 'La' that did it.
I don't have any artists beginning with a real 'la' so I just removed it
from the stop list and all is OK.
