Play YouTube (Sound) with Squeezebox Server? [Archive]

Just a simple question:
Is it (somehow - e.g. with a plugin) possible to submit a YouTube link to the Squeezebox? So that the soundsignal is played via speakers? (I do not care about the pictures in this case. :)

Or even better: search YouTube directly by typing in keywords in the remote from the Squeezebox Duet?

Not as you said, but it is possible to send whatever is playing on your PC speakers to the squeeze. Normally this would not be in sync with what is on the screen but in your case you don't seem to care. You could use wavinput plugin to do that.

Thanks for the fast response.

Actually, if I turn on my PC I can feed my stereo directly. In that case there would be no real need to add the sound from a YouTube vid to the queue of the Squeezebox. :D
