I can't find anyway of buying a controller battery if I am not in the US (I'm in the UK). Has anyone worked out how? The battery is listed on the Logitech US site, but it is not possible to buy it if you don't live in the US. It's not listed on the Logitech UK site, nor any other site I can find.

Battery details:

US site:

http://buy.logitech.com/store/logib2c/en_US/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/categoryid.13980800
Lithium-ion battery for use with Harmony 1000 or the Squeezebox Duet (Controller).
Part number: 866308 or 830-000019
P/N 993-000145

and on battery:

1250 mAh 3.7 V 190582-0000 L-LU18
S.S/N: F12440056 L/N: 498
MH10188

Any help appreciated.

If you are still under warranty (2 yrs), they will send you a free replacement battery once you contact Logitech support. I just got mine some weeks ago (EU).

Is it the same battery in the Harmony One remote? I have a spare if it is.

30 EUR here at this Dutch dealer:

Don't know if they ship abroad, though...

They also sell the charging cradle.

Thanks for your suggestion Peter. I fought my way through the Dutch language (even the English version has the important bits in Dutch), created an account (although the postal address bit was hard and in the end was probably not correct) and then found that the total price for the battery with delivery would be 50 Euros, which at the moment equates to almost 50 UK Pounds. If I can't find one cheaper than the that I think the controller will have to go in the bin.

It IS on the site but it's as always darn impossible to find.

Gawd. I don't know how you two found that battery. When I found any reference to it it sent me off on a link to the US parts store.

35 is better than 50 but it still seems a bit like a rip-off. It might be unnecessary for me to buy it now as Logitech support have just replied to my query to ask for my shipping address (and no mention of money). So, fingers crossed.

There's some on ebay for 12.52 BIN from Germany - listed as "Battery for Logitech Squeezebox Duet ACCU".

some other clever forum member bookmarked the spare store at the right place and posted in another tread, there is no way to find it by your self ? maybe a search on the part number on the battery.

Cheers, even though it's a wimpier battery than the original one (950mAh vs 1250mAh) I'll go for this if Logitech Support do not ship the part.

Are you sure? I was told by logitech support that ALL of them were under
support until April 1st. They sent me a new battery, and said to call back
before the 31st to ensure the warranty was still in affect.

Are you sure? I was told by logitech support that ALL of them were under

When the battery died 6 months ago I attempted to get a replacement from Logitech support. They told me my battery was over two years old and therefore out of guarantee so they would not replace it free of charge (they did give me a one-time 50% discount code though, which I have just used for a Touch!).

Two days ago I contacted them again, saying that I couldn't find any way to buy a battery for the UK and, no-questions asked, they seem be sending me one free of charge.

I think their policy must have changed and also this time they have not realised that my battery is over two years old (as it is from the Duet beta test phase).

Gawd. I don't know how you two found that battery. When I found any reference to it it sent me off on a link to the US parts store.

It is crazy, but this it how you find it:

- Go to the UK Logitech site
- click on Audio in the menu or the Listen icon at the bottom
- scroll down, somewhere on the page will be a link to the Spare Parts Store
- now click on the Speakers link on the parts store
- scroll a long way do to Squeezbox batteries and PSUs

However, they have made a tiny improvement to the bloody awful product pages. Finally when you click on the big image of a product that now acts as a link to the product, rather than forcing the user to work out that they have to click on the text underneath.

I am trying to email support about a replacement battery for my Duet which is still within 2yrs.

I get this response:

" Account Creation Failed
The email address you provided is already in the database "

OK, I must have registered already and forgot my password. SO I click on the link to email me my password again.

"Unable to Email Password
The user ID you supplied does not appear to be valid."

And so the loop goes!

And so the loop goes!
I now get the same problem. I despair of this company. Logitech don't seem able to get even the simplest little things right. They stumble from one screw-up to the next. I'm amazed that Google thought them suitable partners for Google TV.... but maybe there was little choice.
