Is it possible to use the http://server:9000/stream.mp3 to listen to a given slimserver stream...

IE if I am in my bedroom can I launch winamp and stream a playlist from say the kitchen? I assume this is syncing, but is there some sort of a flag to be passed in the stream.mp3 URL to specify listening to an existing stream vs. launching a new one?

THanks,
Anthony

Sorry, you can't sync a software player like Winamp to a hardware
Squeezebox. But you can use SoftSqueeze instead of Winamp and synching
will work.
