    Help with Replay Gain

I have my mp3 tracks tagged with both Volume Adjustment and Album Volume Adjustment, and have my SoftSqueeze player set to Smart Gain.

Needless to say it doesn't work - so is there some other setting I need to enable?

You're going to need to be more specific ... which program did you use to
calculate and apply the replaygain? Also a raw dump of the relevant tags
of a sample file would be helpful.

The tags were created with Foobar2000, and SqueezeCenter can obviously read them, as they appear on the track details:

      Album: The Seventh House
      Artist: IQ
      Band/Orchestra: IQ
Composer: Martin Orford, Peter Nicholls, John Jowitt, Michael Holmes, Paul Cook
      Genre: Rock - prog
      Year: 2000
      Save to Favorites
      Track Number: 1
      File Format: MP3
      Duration: 12:23
      Volume Adjustment: -7.57 dB
      Album Volume Adjustment: -7.49 dB
      Bitrate: 192kbps CBR
      Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz
      File Length: 17,840,102

I didn't know that Soft Squeeze was actively supported any longer.

Maybe that's part of the problem... guess I should try SqueezePlay?

See the 3rd party section for the newest info on SoftSqueeze v3.9

Note that there is also a plug-in that puts the install process in the "Extra's" menu (as it used-to-be.) This make installation a snap compared to SqueezePlay.

softsqueeze used to support replaygain, but I haven't used it in a few
