Do you have to un-install the Squeezecenter software on your PC before you install it on the Windows Home Server to which that PC is connected?

It may be a stupid question because once you have it on the WHS (an HP EX490 in my case) what good does it to to have it on the PC, especially when the WHS is going to be on 24/7 ?

Thanks for any insights in addition to answers to the questions posed.

You're right. You don't need the SqueezeCenter (aka SqueezeboxServer) software on both your WHS and your PC. So once you have it running properly on your WHS, go ahead and uninstall it from your PC.

However, it does no harm to have it installed in both places. Your Squeezeboxen will allow you to choose which server you want to use as your music source. Some people like to install a new version of the server on a second PC to try it out before upgrading their "production" version.
