the ID3 tag is updated automatically when the programme calculates the BPM
.... import the file(s) to BPM analyser ... let it do the work ... then look
at the ID3 tag in itunes or something ... and it will be there ...

BPM Analyzer sounded great - so I downloaded it. It displays the BPM in
it's own Window, and it says it can export this data to an XLS file. How do
you get it to update the MP3 tag?

for tagging MP3s i use ID3-TagIT, which is both good and free ...

personally i encode everything as MP3 using LAME "--alt-preset standard"
settings (about 192K VBR).

another handy utility (if you are into dance music) is the following BPM
analyser (also free), that will write the BPM of each song to the MP3 BMP
tag. unfortunately slim does not do anything with the BPM tag yet.

Iím sure this has been asked a lot in these forums, but I couldnít
easily find it:

What is the best tagging software out there? (For dealing with 100ís
of music files)

What is the best format to encode to? (MP3, Ogg VorbisÖ)

Thanks,
