I downloaded the module. What do I need to install it? I am not familiar
with perl modules.

open up an xterm

type:
su -c 'perl -MCPAN -e "install Time::HiRes"'

you may be asked for your admin password, type it in if you need to.

Just a point of information...

There is an RPM for the HiRes module. On a Redhat system it might be considered preferable to install from RPM rather than using CPAN.

This is the module:

perl-Time-HiRes-1.38-3.i386.rpm
