Ok, I'll be the first to admit it - I ordered a Soundbridge a while ago (in
May to be exact) AFTER I sold my SliMP3. You know, "shipping soon" and all I
didn't think it would take that long. It is a sexy looking little device, and
those photoshopped screen shots had me fooled.

And ok, I'll even go so far that to admit that a friend of mine gave me a hard
time about ordering a Soundbridge after learning (after I had ordered it) that
Roku was potentially going to be jacking SlimServer for their own commercial
gains and not contributing back to the community. I somehow managed to
justify my purchase by reminding him that SlimDevices wouldn't refund me $20
when they dropped the price from $249 to $229 in January or February of 2002
for a short period of time, so I had no loyalty to SlimDevices.

But I'm a big boy, I can admit that I am wrong. And boy was I wrong!! I'll
now be the first to admit that I cancelled my order yesterday for the
Soundbridge (after being told once again that it was "about a week away from
shipping") and my new Squeezebox is on the way, should have it on Friday.

All I can say to Sean and Dean is THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I can't wait to have
music again in my house!!! Thank you for not jumping on the Vaporware
bandwagon and hyping up something months before it's release! When I got
Sean's email yesterday announcing the new version, I was out and about. I
happened to be right near an Apple store, so I went in and checked out the new
specs and went home and cancelled the Soundbridge and ordered up the
Squeezebox! But not before I left as many of the Mac web browsers with the
SlimDevices homepage loaded up!
