No kidding - sounds really weird.
Upgraded to new software this morning and iTunes Radio stations are playing
songs at double speed - very strange. SHOUTCast Radio stations are still OK
though.
Any ideas?

Mind you, I've just noticed that SHOUTCast stations are coming out of the
LEFT speaker only?!

Shoot. Some SHOUTCast stations are also double speed.

Can you post the URL for one of the stations that is exhibiting this
behavior?

http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=7684&filename=playlist.pls
(a SHOUTCast example)
and
www.techwebsound.com an iTunes Radio example

Actually ABS Blues does work, I must have copied the wrong URL -
techwebsound didn't though.

Yep, heard this too on http://66.98.138.13:9999, a 32kbps CBR stream
(RadiOK.net 80s). No difference when this URL is put in a separate
..m3u file. I turned on d_remotestream. There are _lots_ of lines like:

Metadata byte not read, trying again: Resource temporarily unavailable

Also a bunch of lines (albeit far less) reading:

metadata size: 0

But these lines show up on a "normal" stream as well. The speedy stream
has an interesting reply on the "get" request:

Response: ICY 200 OK
header: icy-notice1:
This stream requires
Winamp
header: icy-notice2:SHOUTcast Distributed Network
Audio Server/Linux v1.9.4
header: icy-name:RadiOK.net 80s: RadiOK 80s
header: icy-genre:80s, 90s, latin
header: icy-url:http://www.radiok.net
header: content-type:audio/mpeg
header: icy-pub:1
header: icy-metaint:8192
header: icy-br:32
header:
Recieved final blank line...
opened stream!

Definitely no Winamp on my side. Dunno if this somehow trips things up.
Tested this wth SoftSqueeze 1.0. Can't get to the SB now (CFO and
mother-in-law are watching CSI Miami... ;-).

Niek.

Ditto for http://pubint.sc.llnwd.net:9010/listen.pls, the WNKU MP3
stream.. I think the culprit is probably the sample rate of the stream,
rather than the compression bitrate. This stream is 22kHz at 24kBPS.
Hitting a few random SHOUTcast streams, the ones in chipmunkspace are
all 22-24kHz sample rates.

Hm, that's funny, it sounds fine here. Are you using the digital or
analog outputs from your Squeezebox?

My apologies! The replay rate is munged on SoftSqueeze 1.0, but my SB
and S3 sound fine. That's what I get for generalizing (and testing on
the sly at work)!

And actually, I don't think I'd tried streaming with SoftSqueeze before
today. I usually listen to streams at work with Winamp, and use
SoftSqueeze for listening to my MP3s and maintaining my SSH tunnel.
