This is fantastic. What are changes have been made to access the new
displays functionality from the command line interface?
Are fixed width fonts still supported?
Etc.
Really cool, thanks - Mike

Yeah, darn... I, too, just (well, a week ago) got my Squeezebox and it is
already last year's model!

This obsolescence thing is frustrating...

But at least there is an upgrade path -- which is more than you can say for
most, if not all, of the competition. For all I'm frustrated, I have to
thank the guys at Slim Devices for having the thoughfulness to give me an
upgrade path.

none. what exists now is a replication of the existing features, using new
fonts capabilities. slider bars are done graphicly, as well as animation. The
CLI features to access the text size controls, and send text are the same as
before. Patches for new features are welcome.

the old style graphics are still suported, and ANY font can be supported. the
server parses a BMP file for a font. checkout a copy of cvs and start digging
:)
