I have just acquired a Squeezebox and am trying to edit my existing playlists. By comparing a playlist created with SB server and one created using WMP I understand that I need to change the syntax to \\[computername on network]\directory\sub directory...\filename - can someone expain what the headers are? i.e #CURTRACK 0#EXTM3U#EXTINF:467, do I need this? also does each track need a EXTINF:number? Is there a default I can use?
Does anyone know of a simple piece of software that creates playlists a format that is compatible with SB server?
Thanks

Foobar2000 will do this (and a bunch of other useful things too...)

I save my playlists as .m3u files. Not sure whether SBS will read other extension types.

Thanks - I will give it a try. Any ideas about the headers?

That's created automatically by the software I believe. I use mp3tag for doing the same thing.

You don't need to include headers to make the playlist readable by SC.

Thanks all - I have now managed to get them edited properly and understand that the headers are not required.
