Hi,

I've implemented this and have got a little further in that slimserver now
makes an attempt to play the file but I just hear white noise.

Here's what the log looks like:

Any ideas why I'm just getting noise?

white noise is typical of an endian problem, which should have been eliminated,
but clearly isn't. Try using -f 1 instead of -f 2 in the convert.conf command
line. I've been using -f 1 since I set up faad and the one m4a file I have
plays fine ;) I've only had it play white noice when trying to convert to aif
instead of wav.
