hope this hasn't been answered, I searched archives found answers to all my
other problems, such as getting oggtools newer version streaming with linux
which seems to have created the following problem.
I would like to clear the most played song history. As a few songs show over
300 plays on a slimserver 3 days old.
I have cleared the cache folder in slimserver directory and rebuilt deleting
cache, but hitlist still showing songs with over 300 plays.
I am running SlimServer Version: 5.2.1 on debian unstable.
thanks in advance for trying to help with this small problem.
also I believe the info for changing oggtools settings should be in FAQ
area.

server settings->additional server settings->behavior. look for Save History,
set it to do not save history, restart the server, then reset to save history.
Setting the number of records to 0 might also allow it to clear, and then can
be set to the number you want. You might be able to avoid restarting the
server that way.

There's a file called __history.m3u in your playlist directory. Deleting
this should do the trick.
