Hello,

I've had my squeezebox for around 4 months now, and never had a problem with it's performance. A couple of days ago I updated the software /firmware to 5.2.1 / 29. Since that time my FLAC files have 2 second pauses in them every 15 to 20 seconds. This only happens when using the wireless connection. Wired ethernet has no problems. I wasn't really concered as I knew I could reload an earlier firmware/server combination to get my performance back. Boy was I wrong. Any firmware version newer than 23 exhibits the same pause type of symptoms. If I go to a version prior to 23 (I've tried 22, 21 and 20) the problem gets much worse. Using the older firmware revisions, it not only pauses, but it also will stutter and skip back approximatley 1/2 second periodically while playing. Is it possible that the firware update did something to the wireless card in my Squeezebox ? Any help is appreciated this is driving me nuts.

Thanks,
Brian

what firmware where you on before you upgraded? Versions 20+ are built upon a
whole new embedded OS that makes going back to 10 and earlier impossible.

also, the latest nightly is up to firmware 31 which could help:
