Subject: [slim] genre tag missing from AAC files

On my system here, if it's any help, the Genre is picked up properly
from the iTunes library.

Maybe an inspection of Ben's iTunes Music Library.xml file would be in
order...

try this:
server settings->additional server settings->performance
click wipe cache

see if you can find the section in the log regarding the failed file.

for this test, it might be more useful to run the server from teh command line:
open a command prompt (start->run, type command, press enter)
c:\program files\slimserver\slim.exe --d_itunes --logfile c:\slimserver.log

wiping the cache flushes all stored data and forces a complete rescan of folders
and of the XML library. The log will be quite large.
