Thanks for the reply, this could be a great start.
Now just have to figure out how to read the web page in vb.


Do you know how to retrieve the output of a specific player ?
I have 1 original slimp3 and squeezebox.

The url returns the output from the wrong device.

try getting http://serverip:9000/status.txt from your program - it returns a
plain text file with the display's contents. the special characters (such as
progress bar) will be replaced by something like vfD_leftprogress0_Vfd...
which you can cut out or replace by something more meaningful for your
purpose.
